This blog/site is the beginning of a journey. A bit of a first “voyage” of sorts (does anybody still use that word?) Trail.Verse.City is an about hiking, biking, and otherwise traversing

somewhere in Montana, USAthe trails we face every day…keeping fresh the thoughts of our fellow travelers and the words they’ve left with us…all the while taking those experiences back to the “city” to blend them into our lives. In a word (or six), this blog is about Living the Words that find us.
So, what do you think about as you move about your day? Does your “route” count? Are there verses from scripture, film, pop culture, or a conversation that stick with you and give meaning to the otherwise ordinary walk?
Check out the trail with me. And maybe, as your mom or your brainy English teacher may have told you: “You might want to bring along a book.”
“We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race…To quote from Whitman, “O me! O life!… of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless… of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?” Answer. That you are here – that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?”
